TAS Installation
---------------------
1) TAS407.EXE is a "self-extracting" file. To get the
contents out, assuming TAS407.EXE is on your C: drive
and your "logged" drive is C:
a) create a subdirectory named \TAS by typing
MKDIR \TAS
b) place the TAS407.EXE file in the \TAS directory
by typing
COPY TAS407.EXE \TAS
c) and extract the files in TAS407.EXE by typing
CD \TAS
TAS407
2)
You should then have the following files:
INSTALL.BAT - installation batch file (only needs to be
run if you are installing from a floppy)
TAS.EXE - TAS main program
WHATS.NEW - Change Listing for TAS Release
TAS.TXT - documentation for TAS
TAS.HLP - Online help file (PRESS F1)
REGISTER.DOC - TAS registration form
TAS.CNF - if you have pre-paid your registration
NHNL.TAS - Example - New High/New Low
LIMIT.TAS - Example - Shows TICKER symbol comparisons
SELCT.TAS - Example - Binary Wave technique
RSIPT.TAS - Example - Profit Test using RSI(14)
and - Miscellaneous example files
If you are installing from a floppy drive, do steps 3-5
3) Change directory (CD) to the directory (and drive) containing
the INSTALL.BAT file.
4) TAS can be installed on any drive in your system. If you want
to install it on the C: drive, type
INSTALL C:
The first parameter to the INSTALL command is the drive letter
on which to install the TAS software. By default, it will be
placed in the \TAS directory.
5) Once the install completes, TAS will automatically be invoked
and you can set up your run time preferences.
6) Whenever you want to run TAS, you should be in the subdirectory
you created in step 3. Assuming you installed it on the C:
drive in the default directory, you would type
C:
CD \TAS
